My favourite (well, one of many) Fantasy world is Forgotten Realms, created by RA Salvatore. Famous for its main character, Drizzt do Urden, The world is very well defined and the action is also done well, (it is very focused on tactics) Although it is a popular set of stories in America, it doesn't seem to be very well known outside of the US. Although lots of people have heard of Drizzt, (mostly thanks to the internet) i discovered that quite a lot of them couldn't tell me which writer even created him! Does anyone else read The Forgotten realms stories?

So, you are immortal. How long do you think you can keep going before you get too bored to carry on? a decade? a century? maybe forever?

*nudges* what's the story about then? If it's any good, I'll order the book to read it ;)
Me, I love tactical stories. If you like reading tactics, you should watch 300 (it's not that good a movie, but the tactics used are awesome) and read the Dorsai books by Gordon R. Dickson (starting with the book called Tactics of Mistake). It's actually a sci-fi series, but it's awesome.

Its a large variety of stories, actually. I suggest you start at "The dark elf trilogy" if you intend to read them, because it explains everything that the other stories all foreshadow. Overall, its the standard party of Elf/human/dwarf/barbarian kind of thing.

Well, if the dark elf trilogy is about Drow, I'm definitely interested XD I'm a big Drow-fan. They're awesome. I'll look them up ^.^
